What to have ready
None of this is required to send an enquiry, and all of it makes the first conversation more useful.
- Photographs of the space. Wide shots showing the whole room or elevation, plus close-ups of anything that concerns you.
- Rough dimensions. Even a pace-counted estimate helps us picture the scale before the visit.
- The community you are in. Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, Sackville and the rest of the HRM each bring their own housing stock and their own likely conditions.
- A timeframe. Whether you want this done in six weeks or next spring changes what we recommend.
- A budget range. Telling us early lets us build a scope that fits rather than one you have to cut.
- Anything already decided. A tile you have chosen, an appliance you have bought, a layout you have drawn.

How quickly will I hear back?
Within one business day for form submissions and email. Calls and texts to 902-578-9949 are usually answered the same day, though the crew is often on site with tools running, so leave a message if we miss you.
What should I include in my message?
The type of work, the community your property is in, roughly when you would like it done, and anything you already know about the space. Photographs help a great deal. If you have a budget in mind, saying so early lets us design the scope around it instead of quoting something that was never going to fit.
Is the estimate really free?
Yes, and there is no obligation attached to it anywhere in the Halifax Regional Municipality. We visit, measure, discuss the options and send a written quote. What you do with it is up to you.
Do you offer emergency or repair work?
We take on repair work where it falls within what we build, such as deck structure, siding, water damage repair and carpentry. For active emergencies involving water or electrical safety, contact the relevant emergency trade first and call us once the situation is stable.
